FROM THE ASHES

A story off loss, resilience, faith,  and the art that kept it all together

MEET SANDY CARRICK

Sandy is a tattoo artist with 17 years of experience. He founded All That Remains Tattoo Studio in 2012 in Orangeville, Ontario, running it alongside his wife April Carrick. What started as a dream became a community fixture — until everything changed.

Sandy's grandfather, Donald Carrick, a military veteran and co-founder of the original studio, passed away in May 2018. His legacy of service and resilience lives on in every piece Sandy creates.

On August 25, 2022, a fire at 22 Mill St. destroyed the studio. Over $13,000 in equipment was lost. But Sandy didn't give up. He rebuilt — not just the business, but its entire purpose.

In 2026, Sandy, his wife April and two kids Jaxsen and Sierra made the move west to Red Deer, Alberta, where he now operates out of Bad & Bougie Studio. New location, same mission: creating meaningful custom tattoos with intention and faith.

Salvation Ink was born from that fire. The name reflects salvation — through faith, through art, through the journey of following Jesus Christ.

MEET APRIL  CARRICK

Today relocated to Central Alberta Red Deer April is helping build Salvation Ink through Faith, Family and the journey of following Jesus Christ

SALVATION INK IS BORN

Rather than giving up, Sandy  creates Salvation Ink — integrating a faith-based philosophy to spread the Gospel and follow Jesus Christ through the art of tattooing.

THE MISSION

FAITH-DRIVEN ART

Salvation Ink exists at the intersection of art and faith. Every tattoo is an opportunity to connect, to heal, to tell a story that matters. Sandy's priority is to spread the Gospel and follow Jesus Christ — not through preaching, but through the craft he loves. The studio is a place where art meets purpose, and every client becomes part of that story
